Dearbhla Molloy, Emily Bergl, John Horton, Byron Jennings, Kathryn Meisle, Randall Newsome, Ciaran O'Reilly and Daniel Stewart Sherman will join Gabriel Byrne in the Roundabout Theatre Company production of Eugene O'Neill's A Touch of the Poet. The drama, directed by Doug Hughes, is set to begin performances at Studio 54 on November 11.
Molloy earned a Tony nomination for Dancing at Lughnasa and appeared for Roundabout off-Broadway in Juno and the Paycock.Bergl, who appeared on Broadway last season in The Rivals, was featured in the Roundabout mounting of Fiction off-Broadway. Horton's Broadway credits include Noises Off, Kiss Me Kate, Moby Dick, Photo Finish, Otherwise Engaged, Spokesong, Bedroom Farce, Amadeus, The Homecoming, London Assuranc and Golden Child. Jennings has appeared on Broadway in Noises Off; Sight Unseen, Henry IV, Dinner at Eight, The Invention of Love, Carousel and Roundabout productions of Twelve Angry Men, The Man Who Came to Dinner and A Month in the Country. Meisle, a Tony nominee for the Roundabout's Tartuffe, recently appeared in the Roundabout revival of The Constant Wife. Newsome recently worked with Hughes on the the Alliance Theatre/Acting Company co-production of The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. O'Reilly has appeared on Broadway in The Corn Is Green. Sherman has been featured on the Great White Way in Henry IV and The Full Monty.
This production is scheduled to officially open on Broadway on December 8.
